From Vladivostok to Tsushima…

The first practical training period of the cadets of the ANMSU Maritime Engineering College on board the sailing ship Nadezhda is coming to an end. The ship sailed 1,681 miles, and 75% of the time the frigate was sailing. In addition to training sessions, many events were held devoted to the 35th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy and the 76th Victory Day. On May 8, the Nadezhda approached the Tsushima Strait. In the morning there was a solemn lineup with kneeling and lowering of a wreath on the water in memory of the sailors of the cruiser Varyag. A cadet sports day was held in the sea. The guys competed in such types as pull-ups, standing jumps, kettlebell snatch, arm wrestling, and chess and checkers tournaments. During the practical training period, our cadets have become more enduring, stronger, and friendlier.
