Cadets meet with representatives of PJSC Sovcomflot

On March 5, the head of the SCF Maritime Safety Department - Captain-Mentor of the PJSC SovComFlot Group of Companies Viktor Petrusevich met with 1-4-year cadets wishing to do an internship at the PJSC SovComFlot Group of Companies, and after graduation to work at PJSC SovComFlot. Such meetings are held regularly at the University. 1993 graduate V.A. Petrusevich is the curator of programs for interaction between PJSC SovComFlot and all maritime universities in Russia, and of course pays great attention to his University. During the meeting, several videos were shown about the work of PJSC SovComFlot vessels in Arctic and sub-Arctic projects. During the big presentation, V.A. Petrusevich spoke in detail about the projects in which SCF ships are involved, and especially those on which ANMSU graduates do their shipboard training and then work. V. A. Petrusevich informed the audience about the program of building new ships, tankers and gas carriers for the PJSC SovComFlot group of companies at the Zvezda shipyard in Bolshoy Kamen and at Korean shipyards. 15 new LNG carriers, one vessel per month are to start shipping from October 2023. V.A. Petrusevich announced a significant expansion of the group of SCF scholars (previously called the target training group) from 20 to 75 cadets, including as an experiment and additional motivation, it was decided to recruit cadets from the first year to the group. At the end of the meeting, V.A. Petrusevich wished the cadets success in their studies and good health.
