«Letters to Nina» - an exhibition about war, love and respect for history

On a sunny autumn day, the opening of the unique project «Letters to Nina» took place in the Museum and Exhibition Center of Nakhodka. Second-year students of the Nakhodka Branch of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU were among the first to see the exhibition. Recently, the employees of Transneft - Port of Kozmino LLC handed over to the Museum accidentally found over 200 letters of the Red Army officer Ivan Chetyrin to his wife Nina from the front to the Far East from 1942 to 1945. These priceless documents are presented in the modern exhibition space through interactive panels, which are loaded with electronic copies of documents, audio and video materials from the times of the Great Patriotic War. The originals of front-line letters are presented in the traditional format - under glass. Thanks to the sincere responsiveness of many people, this private story grew into an All-Russian project. Not only residents of the Nakhodka urban district, but also museums from other regions of Russia provided the Museum with copies of letters from their family archives.
