Reinforcement of the ranks of Breeze volunteers

The first in the new academic year, the general meeting of the Breeze volunteers youth corps of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU took place. Our mentors talked about who volunteers are, about the status of a volunteer in the legislation of the Russian Federation, about the types of volunteer motivation and much more. Thanks to participation in the All-Russian webinar on the implementation of the volunteering development program in educational institutions of higher and secondary vocational education, which took place on October 2, 2020, our experienced volunteers gained new knowledge. And now the immediate goal of the Breeze members is to draw up a roadmap, i.e. a step-by-step procedure for the development and improvement of the work of volunteers of the Maritime University. Nowadays, not a single major event can do without volunteers, volunteers take care of the sick, give lectures, donate blood, etc. - and all this is free of charge, in order to help those who need help. Until recently, the legal status of volunteerism was not clearly defined. This complicated the interaction of the volunteer, volunteer organizations and authorities. Everything changed on May 1, 2018 when the new law on charity and volunteering came into force. this year more than 50 newcomers joined the ranks of volunteers. We are very glad that the new generation of students and cadets knows firsthand what it means to do good.
