Rector`s meeting with Consul General of India in Vladivostok

On October 1, the meeting of Rector Denis Burov with the Consul General of India in Vladivostok, Mr. Shashi Bhushan, took place in the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU. At the meeting, the rector introduced to the guest the former vice-rector for international affairs Yuri Zhuravel and the recently appointed advisor to the rector for international affairs Andrei Bobylo, as well as the head of the center for international cooperation Oksana Blazhilina, who will continue the international projects started by their predecessor. Yuri Zhuravel spoke in detail about cooperation of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU with the Consulate General of India in Vladivostok. In particular, he said that in 2016, during a visit to the University of the Consul General, Mr. Rupjyoti Brahma Karji, a memorandum of cooperation, providing for the exchange of teachers, the development of new training courses for seafarers, the conduct of joint research on maritime topics was discussed. The document was signed during the Indian Maritime Summit in Mumbai on April 14-16, 2016, which the delegation of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU attended. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi took part in the Summit. During the conversation, the parties expressed a common opinion that the planned activities under the cooperation agreement concerning the training of scientific personnel in the postgraduate study of the Maritime University, training courses for seafarers at the FEMTC, joint research and development on maritime topics should be implemented.
