On September 25, the winners of the second stage of the Third All-Russian Marine Robotics Competition among student teams Aquarebotech-2020 were named on the parade ground of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU. All nine participating teams showed interesting technical and technological ideas in the development and creation of robotic systems. The panel of judges summed up the results of the Competition, and the awards were presented to the winners and awardees in two directions: Autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles (AUV): 1st place – S.O. Makarov Pacific Higher Naval School; 2nd place – G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University: 3rd place – Far East Federal University. Remotely controlled unmanned underwater vehicles (ROV): 1st place – G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University; 2nd place – Branch of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University; 3rd place – Far East Federal University; 4th place – Sevastopol State University; 5th place – S.O. Makarov Pacific Higher Naval School. The panel of judges awarded the Special Prize - the Cup for the best technical solution to the team of the Branch of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University in Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk Region. The Competition was held in the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU swimming pool, where underwater drones performed competitive tasks, surveyed the bottom, looked for and raised sunken objects. They needed to find an underwater garage and take a position there that allows them to charge, transmit information and receive new tasks without surfacing, but not all underwater vehicles succeeded. Despite objective difficulties, all the teams showed high skill and organization.
