International diploma and the opportunity to work around the world

In October 2020, course for operators of underwater robotics will be held at the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU with the issuance of international diplomas - ROV Pilot Technician Grade II. Recruitment for training groups is open. Since 2010, the Maritime University is licensed annually by the International Marine Contractors Association www.imca-int.com (London, GB) is the first University in Russia that trains highly qualified operators of underwater robots. The ROV pilot course includes theoretical and practical parts. The quality of the acquired knowledge and skills significantly distinguishes this course at the Maritime University among similar ones both in Russia and abroad. Pilots’ trainers and lecturers do not just give lectures: they are actively working pilots of remotely controlled underwater vehicles with a large experience of working hours in very difficult expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic. It is here that theory is always inseparable from practice: electronics, hydraulics, safety - any sections of the theory are considered both in the classroom and at sea when working with the devices. After the theoretical course on underwater robotics, all the trainees move on to practice basic skills and operations with devices in the training pool. Then the practice is carried out from the ship in the yacht club harbor and in open water. Such a rich program of maritime practice in underwater robotics cannot be offered anywhere in Russia, and foreign colleagues, even having decent maritime practice, cannot compete in cost. The graduates of our Center are employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Morinsis-Agat Concern, fishing companies and special services. Upon completion of the course, ROV pilots receive an international certificate and a logbook, which allow our graduates to work successfully not only in Russia, but around the world. The duration of the training is 2-3 weeks, the group of trainees is up to 15 people. Recruitment for the 2020 group is open.
