May 9, we celebrated an important date in the history of the country - the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory of our people over Nazi Germany. November 2020, the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU will celebrate an important event - 130 years since its founding. These are two especially important events for the Maritime Technology College of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU: on September 19, 2019, the College celebrated the 78th anniversary of the founding, and this date coincides with the 78th anniversary of the start of World War II. In the harsh autumn of 1941, hundreds of children from all over Primorye began to study working professions at vocational school No. 12. All subsequent years, the school trained personnel for the fishing industry of the region, and in 2005 the educational institution became part of the Maritime University, becoming a college and began to train mid-level marine specialists. But the birth story of this educational institution is so typical of many current colleges that it is worth telling about it, using some materials that are collected in the MTC Museum. The war against fascism posed the need to attract adolescents to work in the workplace. Their contribution to the Victory is well and clearly presented in the Museum of the MTС. July 21, 1941 an order was issued to set up Vocational School No. 12 - this decision marked the beginning of the history of the College, which contributed to the Victory. Study began immediately at the machine. 13-year old boys and girls sharpened nuts, bolts and washers. It seems nothing heroic, but each nut had its purpose and application, in particular, when repairing ships: 348 students went to the front. Some of them remained on the battlefields, some survived, and for many years after the war they worked on the specialty received at the school (as locksmiths, turners, joiners, boilers, model makers, and millers) and added labor rewards to their military orders and medals. This is only one page of the history of the Maritime Technology College of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU, who contributed to the Great Victory, the memory of which will remain forever.
