Maritime University has transferred educational activities to an electronic educational information environment

Since March 24, G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University, its branches and colleges have been working in the distance learning mode in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council. In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (Order No. 397 dated March 14, 2020 “On the organization of educational activities in organizations implementing educational programs of higher education and additional professional programs in the context of preventing the spread of a new coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation”), based on the decision of the Academic Council of the University dated 03.23.2020, the Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University switches to training its students and cadets using the electronic information and educational environment from March 24, 2020 (and until special orders). A section Situational Center of the Adm. G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University has been created on the official website of the University. It provides relevant information for the cadets, students, teachers and staff to train and fulfill their functions in the context of preventing the spread of a new coronavirus infection. The section contains hotline phones, a constantly replenished set of regulatory documents, relevant links and recommendations on the organization of the educational process in the electronic information and educational environment. The University has a distance education platform - the e-learning system “Course”, for which 387 teachers have been trained in continuing education courses. All the students are registered in the e-learning system “Course”, all the training courses are instituted there and the teachers and students are attached to them in accordance with the curriculum. Forums for the teachers and students are available where you can get a quick answer to questions about working in the system. At the beginning of 2020, the University expanded the Internet backbone channel to 100 Mbit, which allows thousands of users to simultaneously connect to the system. A new data warehouse has been installed, which allows you not to limit yourself in the placement of training materials. A videoconferencing server has been put into operation, designed to organize video communications for lectures and other forms of classes in accordance with the approved lesson schedule. At the moment, mass events (sports and cultural events, concerts, etc.) have been canceled, the disinfection of premises has been strengthened, and the increased access control has been organized in the G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University. The students left the dormitories for home, only a small number of those who do not have the opportunity to leave are left. Personal reception of citizens has been transferred to the mode of appeals through the e-reception room of the rector. On March 20, by Order No. 33, an operational headquarters for preventing the spread of coronavirus infection was established at the Maritime University. It is aimed to develop a series of urgent measures for organizing the educational process, strengthening access control, and implementing a set of measures provided for responding to new challenges. A schedule of operational duties for daily monitoring of the situation and a report to Rosmorrechflot, and an action plan for monitoring the health status of employees have been developed. The headquarters is in charge of resolving issues related to the interaction of the University with the sanitary and epidemiological control authorities in the Russian Federation, the residence of the Russian and foreign students in the dormitories, and the development of guidelines for special working hours for the branches. As of today, the Maritime University does not have information on any case of coronavirus infection.
