On March 13, a Research and Practical Seminar was organized by the Department of Radio Electronics and Radio Communications and the Department of Automatic and Information Systems of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU. Candidate of Technical Sciences Denis Akmaikin made a report on the topic Development of a crewless sea vessel. He demonstrated a mock-up of a crewless ship currently being developed by the staff of the RERC Department. The speaker told about the problems associated with the development of crewless ships that had been successfully solved by students and cadets of the previous years of study as part of their graduation projects. The next report by Denis Shtaev was devoted to a detailed description of the developed model of a crewless vessel. He presented a scheme for interfacing ship monitoring and control systems, as well as their display on the interface and demonstrated a video of tests on transferring images from a video camera to a control panel of a crewless vessel. The teachers and staff present at the Seminar expressed their interest and willingness to assist in the conduct of similar events related to relevant contemporary topics on the development of surface crewless vessels.
