The art gallery of Ivan Rybachuk, a national artist of Russia, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a veteran of labor of the USSR, is open in the lobby of Floor 3 of the main building of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU. In 1945, the artist participated in the military campaigns of the 2nd Guards Torpedo Boat Division in North Korea, liberated the cities of Yucca, Seyenne, Rasin, Pokots, and Ginzan. After demobilization, he became a member of the Creative Union of Artists of the Primorsky Territory. From 1950, Ivan Rybachuk was an active participant in art exhibitions. The artist worked in different genres: portrait, landscape, and paintings. In 1956, Rybachuk, the first of the country's artists, was given the opportunity to organize a personal reporting exhibition in Moscow, in the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists of the USSR, where he exhibited 125 paintings. During his creative trips, seafarers, border guards, workers, collective farmers, reindeer herders, hunters, livestock farmers, and polar explorers were the first spectators of his new works. They are the heroes of the portraits he created. He was awarded the Silver Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts "For mastery in the portrait genre". The master’s canvases are kept in museums, art galleries, private collections in Russia and abroad, they are their unconditional decoration. The paintings by I.V. Rybachuk, created in 1960-80. - in a period that can be considered the peak of the master’s work, are collected in the funds of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU Museum. The art gallery of the artist’s best works will become a permanent exhibition of the Museum in the University.
