Cadets participating in the Victory Relay

This year we are celebrating a special date - the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Many events are planned to mark this event. March 17 cadets of group 511.11 of the Maritime Technology College took part in a rally dedicated to the Victory Relay. The Victory Relay is one of the largest actions of 2020 in Russia dedicated to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Victory Relay race started in Murmansk and Brest on February 5. The route runs along the state border of Russia, the Republic of Belarus and other CIS countries. Its total length is more than 60 thousand kilometers. The initiative of this action is aimed at strengthening the unity and historical friendship between the peoples of the CIS. The main symbols of the grandiose patriotic action - the image of the Order of the Patriotic War and the border sign - arrived from the Border Control of the Sakhalin Region to the Pacific frontiers. The ceremony of receiving the signs held at the Memorial Ensemble to the Border Guards who died while protecting the borders of the Motherland. The Victory Banner is being carried along the borders of Russia and the CIS countries, which is very symbolic, since the first onslaught of enemies was met precisely by our border guards. After Vladivostok, the image of the Order of the Patriotic War and the border sign will be sent to Nakhodka. Then the Relay route is to pass through Ussuriysk and Dalnerechensk, Pogranichny, Luchegorsk, Slavyanka, Barabash, Lesozavodsk, Vladimiro-Aleksandrovskoe and Kamen-Rybolov. The final of the Relay Victory will take place on May 28 in Moscow at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier memorial complex. Photos: Administration of Vladivostok, Maritime Technology College
