Competitions of marine robots will be held in Vladivostok

Competitions of developers of marine robots Akvarobotekh will be held in Vladivostok in August-September. On February 19, TASS reported this with reference to the press service of the Advanced Research Foundation. Designers from law enforcement agencies, private organizations and students of Russian universities will present unmanned boats and underwater vehicles at these competitions. The Third All-Russian Competition in Marine Robotics Aquarobototech 2020 in remote-controlled and autonomous uninhabited underwater vehicles will be held at the Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University in August-September. Aquarobotech will be held as part of the scientific-practical conference Prospects for the development of sea-based robotic complexes (systems). Acceptance of applications for participation will begin in the very near future. The first stage of the competition will be held from August 18 to 23 in the open water of the Amur Bay. The teams of power departments and development organizations in the areas of crewless boats, remote-controlled and autonomous uninhabited underwater vehicles are to take part in it. The second stage in the areas of remote-controlled and autonomous uninhabited underwater vehicles, which will be held on September 22-26, will identify the leader among Russian universities. The venue of the second stage is the pool on the campus of the Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University. Aquarobotech competitions have been regularly held since 2018. The organizer is the Foundation for Advanced Research with the support of the board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergencies, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and other organizations.
