The collaboration of the G.I. Nevelskoy MSU with the Far Eastern branch of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping continues. On February 17, a course for ship engineers-inspectors was held in G.S. Schukin Room equipped with the help of the Register. The Maritime University lecturers and Register specialists conducted the classes. Recall that last year, an updated classroom, which was named after a prominent scientist and teacher German Shchukin, was opened at the Department of Marine Internal Combustion Engines. This event was held thanks to the support of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping in the modernization of the facilities and resources of the Maritime University. In 2016, a cooperation agreement between G.I. Nevelskoy MSU and Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping was signed, which implies mutually beneficial cooperation of the parties in the field of maritime industry, education and science. Over the past few years, several laboratories of the Maritime Faculty of Technology and the classrooms of the Faculty of Marine Engineering were repaired and equipped.
