A new exposition about the history of the cruising yacht race for Admiral Nevelskoy Cup has been designed in the Museum of G.I. Nevelskoy MSU. These yachting competitions are still very popular in the Far East and have been held since 1981 as an open championship of the now G.I. Nevelskoy MSU. The initial route map of the race, photos of different years of outstanding yachtsmen - organizers and prize-winners of cruising races for the «Admiral Nevelsky Cup» ─ Leonid Lysenko and Vladimir Gamanov are presented in the museum exposition. The regatta for the «Admiral Nevelskoy Cup» is one of the most popular in the Far East and annually collects a fleet of nearly 60 yachts from different cities and towns of Primorye: Vladivostok, Artyom, Nakhodka, Bolshoi Kamen, Slavyanka and others. The sketch of the cup for the winner was drawn by Fedor Konyukhov, an artist and today a world famous traveler. For many years the Cup was challengeable and awarded to the winner of the regatta.
