By tradition, the 11th concert season of the pop orchestra opened with Snowstorm

On January 12, a concert by the Nevelskoy MSU pop orchestra (artistic director and conductor of the orchestra Anatoly Yakimenko) took place in the Pushkin Theater of the FEFU. The audience came to listen to Musical illustrations for A.S. Pushkin's Snowstorm by Georgy Sviridov arranged for the composition of this team. The premiere of this piece performed by the pop-brass band of the Maritime University took place in 2018, and the People's Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Sergiyakov also read the text. It has already become a good tradition for Nevelskoy MSU brass band to open the new season with the work of composer George Sviridov, beloved by all spectators, Musical illustrations for A.S. Pushkin's Snowstorm. So in the new year, the team opened the 11th concert season with the performance of Snowstorm. The concert was a kind of congratulation to the residents of Vladivostok on the New Year, Christmas and other winter holidays. Favorite, truly Russian melodies of the composer George Sviridov were well complemented by the soulful voice of the People's Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Sergiyakov, who read the text of the story by A.S. Pushkin. The second part of the concert continued with the performance of the world-famous waltzes and polkas of the dynasty of Austrian composers Strauss. The musical evening ended with the famous Radetzky March by Johann Strauss, the performance of which the audience was pleased to support the rhythmic applause.
